Literature has become ‘diverse.’

Take a look at the brochure from any of this year’s literary festivals, and you’ll see what I mean. Closed doors have been blown open, glass ceilings smashed! Yet, in the rubble and shards all this progress has left in its wake, have we lost something that made our literary scene special?
